David Sommer, CIMA^®

Dave Sommer is President and Chief Investment Officer at St. Clair Advisors. In his current role, Dave’s duties include developing and executing customized asset allocation as well as the development, execution and communication of appropriate investment strategies for clients.

Previously, Dave was a Senior Vice President at Hawthorn, the high net worth division of PNC Bank. Dave’s roles included serving on the Hawthorn Investment and Strategy Committees and the PNC Investment Policy Committee. He also served as the Chief Investment Officer of Sterling, National City Bank’s multi-family office. He served on National City Bank’s Asset Allocation Committee where he helped set investment policy for over $40 billion in client assets.

Dave served on the investment committee for Our Lady of the Wayside, which supports children and adults with developmental disabilities. He was also the chairman of the board of Neighborhood Counseling Services prior to its merger with Recovery Resources. Dave is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association.

Dave earned his undergraduate degree from Kent State University and his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
